A lot of people have a moral issue with abortion but not with erections assisted by medication.

I just want to check how viagra works, I have never had any problem to use it, but I tempted to check how it works and what feeling it gives. would it be wrong using it, would it bring any health problem, will I have any side affects, will it effect my normal sexual life?

It’s not abnormal for you to be curious as to what the effects would be. But it’s not such a great idea to just take it if you don’t need it… all medications have side effects.
Viagra was actually being developed as a heart medication. It didn’t really work all that well for treating angina, but test patients came back talking about having erections as a side effect so pfizer did some clever marketing.

Is there anyone out there who has ED and is taking viagra or another medicine and had a 4 hour erection?

It can become a painful problem as the tissues of the penis are deprived of oxygen (if the prolonged erection is ischemic in cause – in which case they will either drain the blood with a syringe or inject you with a type of muscle relaxant – non ischemic cause is a nerve problem, and I have no experience with that lol). Always see a doctor if you have an erection that lasts four hours or more.

If your problem is psychological then Viagra will not help you. Viagra will only help you if your problem is physical. Viagra works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, this allows more blood to enter enabling you to achieve an erection. Have a chat with your GP.

I must apologise. My answer was incorrect, it doesn’t just help physical problems. Dr Frank corrected me. I thought the indications for Viagra were purely physical- as a result of CAD/Diabetes etc. It can help psychological problems and is often prescribed as a one off to encourage an erection in young men- often solving the problem. It was rather remiss of me not to have checked out my answer first.
It’s vital to first sort out the cause of your erectile dysfunction.This should be done before taking any ED drugs. If your problem is due to anxiety then ask your GP to refer you for therapy. I can’t imagine a Doctor will prescribe Viagra to a teenager.
